CENTERVILLE, Mass. – After her record setting performance at Sunday's Little East Conference/New England Alliance Championship meet, sophomore sprinter Hulerie McGuffie (Lynn, Mass.) has been named the ECAC New England Division III Co-Track and Field Athlete of the Week.
At Sunday's championship, the two-time All-American won a program best five gold medals. McGuffie sprinted her way to first place finishes, while also setting a new LEC Championship meet record in the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 12.26 and 25.21 seconds respectively. She would also help the 4x400 and 4x100 meter relay teams to gold medals as they recorded times of 4:03.24 and 48.63. In the lone field event she competed in, the long jump, McGuffie defended her outdoor crown with a leap of 16-06.50 feet.
